​This multimedia project, initiated by YOLY, brings together visual art, literature, and music.
Yoly drew inspiration from Walter Hessler’s stories to create her images. Michael Posch then set the whole thing to music.

Light overheard weaves tales in colors of painted music .. . . 

​In moments when we are ready to lift, even just a little, the walls and barriers, the fences and hedges that stand before our senses, we often experience, through our children, the richness of our own childhood. We discover a realm where the mind has not yet taken control of the heart and gut. A realm of intense feelings and desires, a land of vibrant colors and lights, a world of diverse sounds and noises, a realm of shapes and structures. This experience holds something joyful and enriching, but also carries within it a sense of longing and melancholy—the joy of sensory experience as a whole and the longing for the lost openness to this holistic experience.
It is up to us to find paths into this realm of conscious senses, open hearts, and exhilarating experiences.
We have found such a path for ourselves—a path built from Yoly’s images, traversed with Walter’s stories as our hiking boots, and with Michael’s music for the soul as our companion. For us, it is always a joyful experience to see, feel, hear, and experience how we set out on this path ourselves—and to witness how other people, through our images, our stories, and our music, are ready to embark on this path of sensory experiences as well.
If even just one of our images, a sentence from our stories, or a note of our music helps another person find their way into this realm, then all our efforts, our searching, our joy, our waiting, and our longing will have been fulfilled.
